Fall Basket With a Little Glam

I created a new look with my harvest basket that I've been using for the past 3 years with some new colors and accents.

2014 Infuse With Liz

I've posted this basket two other times

So my ideas trended towards more green and off white and not so much of the deeper tones like rusted orange.  There are two orange pumpkins in here but the don't stand out as the predominant color.

These beaded pumpkins from Pier 1 had my eye quickly this year.  Since I put this on my formal dining table I felt this would look good with a little shine!

I used an assortment of stems with leaves that are a mix of greens to soft orange and gold tones, some creamy colored sunflowers  and a few floral pics that added bulk and the silver acorns.  I got my inspiration from the Pier 1 "Elegant Fall Collection"

You can see one of the orange pumpkins nestled in there

There isn't much natural daylight over hear except for a brief period in the late afternoon so I turned on the chandelier.

I re-used the little rug on the dining table that I posted about "here" in August.  For Halloween I will add to the arrangement with a couple of black ravens and for Thanksgiving I can add in a couple of Turkeys!  This should carry me right through 'til then!

I like the little bit of glam I got with this years look- it was time for something new!

  1. Hi there! I like the switch up! You have been able to get super creative with that basket over the years. I think that's when I am happiest...when I can get my money's worth out of an item by creating new ways to present it! I like the lighter tones, and with the little changes you mention for Halloween and Thanksgiving, you'll be right on the mark without having to fuss with it a lot. Perfect!

  3. Liz, I'm so glad to see your lovely makeover. Actually, it reminded me of the wreath I bought several months ago with the beige petals in the flowers. It looks great! Beautiful decor.
