Friday wind up!

Well here we are once again on Friday! This week has been about Easter and one more little tweak in my office. I posted about my Easter decorating twice this week...here and here

I hung two new "old" pictures in my office above the sitting chair.

These are antique prints

They have a "publishing date of 1805 and 1807" on them. I don't know if they are original to those dates. It couldn't be verified, but they were purchased from The Brimfield Antique show in Massachusetts.

They definitely appear very old, although I realize the frames are not.

I picked up some glare when I took the picture which made it look like it's soiled, but it's not.

I've been looking for some architectural prints and these struck me
so I decided to grab them up.

I wrote to One King's Lane where I bought them from but they could only tell me where they found them and that this antique show is filled with reputeable vendors.

You often have to be fast on their web site at purchasing things, as they disappear before your eyes!

So I'm done with updates in the office...
I'm anxious for spring to start and to get outside!
All I have to do is pray for the snow to melt!

Thanksgiving for two!

It's going to be a quiet Thanksgiving for two of us so I've

accepted the idea and pulled this together for our table.

I wanted it a bit rustic and for it to embrace the colors of the season.

As you can see I've reused my Pottery Barn inspired centerpiece that

I made in September shown here, and here.

I decided to try the soup tureen in the center (it barely fit). I may just tuck my pumpkin pie inside of it just for fun! I mixed several pieces from different manufactuers and layered heavily!

Winnie the Witch is back!

Please gather round and join me for quick bite to eat!

Last year I featured Winnie Green at my Bewitching Gathering! She's returned but was not pleased to find Charlie the raven helping himself to the corn that was being saved for the winter-

So like any good witch would do- she trapped him and put him under a cloche in the graveyard of skulls, pumpkins and rotting moss!

His friend Eva can't figure out how to get him out of there! She's been pecking at the glass for hours!

I think they both missed the graveyard warnings!

Strange creatures will join you as you dine, but don't be alarmed...they won't bite... M U C H!!

Winnie loves green so the table has been set using these bright green chargers!

Eek! I don't know about these creepy things crawling around!

Winnie may be a witch but she does love her pretty things...

Winnie adores such pretty shiny objects!

She peers down with pleasure!

Quietly she hovers over the table- I think she's really after Eva now!

Charlie wanted out real bad, but it's too late! Winnie turned him into a piece of wood and poor Eva hasn't figured that out yet! I think she better get out of there!

The first course will be Ghoulie Gourd soup! She carved these out and filled them full and she says there is a special ingredient in them- something about toads???
