A Christmas Storybook Luncheon (T)

 

 

Welcome to my Christmas Storybook Luncheon!  When I saw this tablecloth I had to have it because I already had the gingerbread house on the credenza and it was a perfect pickup to it.

 

Some florals from Costco went into a crystal vase.  The crystal stemware reflects the same shape as the vase.

 

To my dismay when I got home with these flowers there were two mums that were completely dead, but I made it work!

 

What's a Christmas storybook without Nutcrackers!  Williams Sonoma tartan dinner plates and salad plates layered on a Pier 1 charger on top of a placemat.

 

I just love the cheerfullness of this tablecloth!

 

I used a napkin embellished with rhinestones for a little bit of sparkle along with these Pine Tree napkin rings (both from Pier 1 a few years ago)

 

I layered golden leaves in the center and two gold candle votives.  The gold is also reflected on the edge of the plates. With my small table you can't get too elaborate!

A Bit of Gold, A Bit of Red, and Poinsettias! (T)

 

Welcome!  Continuing in "red"  I put together this tablescape with a refined yet casual look.

Ugh the lighting was terrible and this was a noon!

A bouquet from Costco that I just cut down and re-arranged.  It was a nice cheerful mix of red, green and white.  I waited for the lilies to start opening but by then the hydrangeas were going down hill, so I cut them back and placed them lower down.

The Merry Christmas placemats came from Home Goods by 34th & Pine, last year.  The red plates are by Lenox and the poinsettias plates (and pitcher) are by 222 Fifth, called Winter Harmony

 

I used the Christmas tree napkin rings from Pier 1 also from last year.  I don't know about anyone else but I'm really not happy with their website and their offerings anymore.  Nothing is "Pier 1" any longer.

 

The candy cane Christmas trees were from Home Goods I think (UPDATE-actually they were from Michael’s) last year too.  I borrowed them from my kitchen window vignette!

These pewter birds were added just for fun and they pick up the coloring of the trivet I used for the florals.

I got the tablecloth from Crate & Barrel a few years back.

The gold rimmed glasses pick up the the gold rimmed dinner plates and the silver picks up on the birds and trivet!  You can mix your metals!

Time to gather!

Welcoming The Season Luncheon! (T)

I wanted to start December off with a luncheon tablescape.  Welcoming in the holiday and the beauty of the season!

The tablecloth is new (from Home Goods).  The spiral red glassware was from Younker's many years ago.

 The napkin rings are from Pier 1 this year.  I grabbed up a bunch when I spotted them.

The felt cutout placemats are new from Home Goods also.

 I'm all about Nutcrackers this year and included a couple on my table.

 The pitcher matches the dish pattern (by 222 Fifth called Winter Harmony).  I fell in love with it!

 The fresh cut flowers are from Costco.  They had everything I wanted in the bouquet so it was a win win!

 This will be even prettier when the lilies open!

 My amaryllis have started blooming.

This one's called Alfresco

It's very dark today and I pushed the light as best as I could.  These are much prettier in person!

Festive Dining With Nutcrackers (T)

 

An array of sparkling trees and ornaments help set the tone for this festive dining with Nutcrackers!

 

I placed duplicate nutcrackers facing both sides for evryone to enjoy!

The extra nutcrackers can be gifts to be taken home by family members!  The jumbo ornaments came from Michael's and the Nutcrackers are from Target
(FYI- super good pricing at Target and JoAnn's on Nutcrackers)!

 The inspiration for this table started with my new nutcracker dishes.  I spotted them on the Lenox website early this fall.  I also ordered the ribbed red and gold dinner plates to go with them.  I've always had a thing for nutcrackers so this was an easy "yes" for me!

I made a bow with the napkins.  The ornament clustered napkin rings tied in nicely with the center arrangement.

I found these Mozart chocolates from Germany at TJMaxx that will make for a nice after dinner treat.  They are dark chocolate with almonds in the center.  The flavor of these has a hint of pistachio and brandy. 

The red stemware is from Mikasa and the Crystal compotes are from Williams Sonoma as well as the tablecloth.  

I used ribbons to add a more festive touch!  We often serve buffet style from the kitchen so this arrangement can stay put.  This was fairly easy to create and I hope you enjoyed it!

Holiday Formal Dining (T)

I've set the table for the holidays.

I enjoy seeing the table set so I decided this would be my everyday table during the holidays.

I found these bead encrusted glass pears a long time ago up in Gaylord, MI at a neat store called The Old Spud Warehouse.  I've had the mercury glass bowl for a while and find a way to use it each year.  The two gold tree candles came from a Lenox outlet I visited late this past summer.  I got the two candle rings at a local gift shop.  I love it when I look at things like this and can reminisce about where it came from.

 These dishes come with four images and two have deer, a buck and a doe.  I spotted these on-line at Pottery Barn and knew I'd find a way to use them!

 I chose to not put out flatware or napkins since this is a daily display.  I just wanted to enjoy seeing the table set!

These dishes have my favorite holiday elements like tartan plaid, gold accents, the color red and wildlife!  The red placemats came from Kohl's a couple of years ago.  The Charter Club gold rimmed dishes are from a larger set I collected from Marshall Fields a while back.

The runner came from Pennsylvania on one of our trips to Soergel Orchards Country Store

So that's my dining table for the Holiday!
