New Credenza

Early in March Dan and I went down to Grand Rapids looking for a hutch cabinet.  Although I knew I didn't want a "china" cabinet with the top part having glass.  I decided to check out what the manufacturer of our chairs had to offer and to my surprise they offered this credenza and it was just what I wanted!

In the middle of April it came in and here it is just delivered.  It's solid maple and made in Massachusetts.

It has adjustable shelves and the wine rack is removable.  The drawers are deep and will hold plenty!

This is how it looked prior to the changes.  I sold the etegare and the plate rack is in storage.  Having a hard time letting go of it.  I also sold the black table that's under the plate rack.

We came across this picture at a furniture store.  It was neglected and displayed in a window and had gotten a little moisture damage to the back.

I inquired about it and after evaluating it they sold it to me for $50!  We just cleaned up the back a bit, glued the paper back down in a couple of spots and it's fine!

I ordered this clock from on-line.  I liked that it was large and also oval.

I'm experimenting with decorating it.  I had these two vases from Pottery Barn and I felt they had the right look to go with the picture.

I found this big bottle which says Chardonnay on it at T.J.Maxx and thought it would fit in with the wine rack.

This is removable but I don't think I'll need to!

As I said I'm experimenting with items on top.

I created this last year ("here") and had it set aside and thought why not try it!

I already had the two wall sconces and was glad I could use them again.

I'm real happy with it and appreciate the extra storage it's going to provide.

Easter Table Inspired By Tulips (T)

Hello! I was smitten with these purple tulips so I pulled out my purple Delamere Bouquet dishes made by Spode.

I set the table for four.

I put these cute little pair of lambs on the table too.

I love this one's expression!

Such perfection!

I layered the salad and dinner plates since I wanted to keep it purple and green. The napkins have bunnies on them and the carrot napkin rings were found last year.

These Fitz & Floyd "Trellis" glasses are some of my favorites!  They go with a lot of table settings and are nice to hold.

Tah-dah!  All cleaned up and still a joy to look at!

A Little More Easter Decorating

I put together another Easter tree using my hand made bows and beaded covered eggs.

A few years ago I collected these Mackenzie Childs Easter figures.  My little bows were an attempt to create the classic black and white checked pattern found with the MC items.

These ate cute and must be important since they are both crowned!
I stuffed them with the brown excelsior.

And on the entryway table I added this cute little bunny!

A little more Easter decorating!
