Spring Tablescape 2023 (T)

Is it spring yet?

Even though the ground is white at our house I've decided to head right into spring!

I got a new tablecloth from Williams Sonoma that prompted me to create a spring tablescape.

These candlesticks are new from The Enchanted Home.   The runner is from Home Goods and has two sides to it.

I created these little flower bouquets a few years ago and decided they'd be perfect to use again.

Here you can see them altogether.  The lantern is part of a pair that I've had a long time and seemed fitting for this design layout.  It can be moved to the end of the table during dining.

I paired the coffee cups that go with the dinner plate.  Love how all these colors worked together.  I ordered the chargers from Oriental Trading called Dusty Blue.

The napkins have rabbits on them too!

Some blue flatware that also fit in well!

These rabbit plates were from Pier 1 Imports several years ago before the closed their stores.  I sure miss shopping there!

Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoyed my Spring Tablescape!

A Christmas Storybook Luncheon (T)

Welcome to my Christmas Storybook Luncheon!  When I saw this tablecloth I had to have it because I already had the gingerbread house on the credenza and it was a perfect pickup to it.

Some florals from Costco went into a crystal vase.  The crystal stemware reflects the same shape as the vase.

To my dismay when I got home with these flowers there were two mums that were completely dead, but I made it work!

What's a Christmas storybook without Nutcrackers!  Williams Sonoma tartan dinner plates and salad plates layered on a Pier 1 charger on top of a placemat.

I just love the cheerfullness of this tablecloth!

I used a napkin embellished with rhinestones for a little bit of sparkle along with these Pine Tree napkin rings (both from Pier 1 a few years ago)

I layered golden leaves in the center and two gold candle votives.  The gold is also reflected on the edge of the plates. With my small table you can't get too elaborate!

Thank you for visiting!

I hope you enjoyed my Christmas Storybook luncheon!

Floral Easter Dining Table 2022 (T)

Welcome to my Easter dining table!

I've used my Anniversary fine china again since it has great spring colors and mixed it with some casual elements.

The gold flatware picks up nicely on the edge rim of the dishes.

Here's another view showing the colors up close.
Noritake Yoshino

I've kept the table simple but I think festive enough!

The crystal is a pattern from Mikasa that we picked up at the Mikasa Outlet in 2003 our 25th anniversary along with another set of everyday dishes.  I elevated the basket of flowers on a cabbage leave placemat which is on an upside down serving platter.  I can just remove the flowers, flip over the serving platter and VOILÀ!

I've had this tablecloth from Kohl's for quite a few years.  Love the cutwork and scallped edge.

Big giant magnolia stuffed in a collection of hydrangeas, tulips and lily of the valley!

I decided to put an egg on top of the candle holder since I already have candles in the votives.  A Pier 1 purchase several years ago.

I love the cheerful spring colors!
The candle votives were from Pier 1 a while back.

The napkins, placemat and the charger lend a casualness to the table.

There you have it my Floral Easter Dining Table 2022, I hope you enjoyed it!

Spring With Color! (T)

I chose my striped tablecloth to brghten things up.

Lots of colors including whites, purples, deep reds, pinks and blues.

This mix kind of stretches the color spectrum.  Unfortunately the lilies aren't open and the hydrangea is going down quickly and I don't know if the roses are ever going to open.

I matched the antiqued metal handles with the napking rings.

The bottom plate I chose to add a little cozy country appeal.

I chose these salad plates because they had a lot of the colors in the flower arrangement.

Blue flatware and napkins enhanced the blue from the dishes.

I chose these glasses because of their blue and green coloring which are colors in the dishes.

I've started a bunch of caladiums in peat pots that you can see in the background.  Those will be there for at least another month.

Spring is coming along up here but slowly.  My tulips and daffodils will be blooming soon though and I can hardly wait!
