Golden Crystalline Morning

Seeing the sun has been very uplifting even if it's only -10 when you wake up in the morning!!

The sculpted winter landscape is pretty to look at

 Shadows and fresh snow

A golden crystalline morning!

It was a tough week.  Extreme cold, blowing snow, whiteouts, lots of accidents in our area.  I hunkered down and stayed home.
Praying for a better week to come.

  1. Lynn, what stunning photographs! So sorry your weather is just awful and so cold, but I do love your pictures of it all! Just glorious! For us in the deep south, it's so beautiful. Thank you for sharing!

  2. Hi Liz,

Your snowy scene, serene and untouched, sparkles under the morning sun. Cold, trying at times, but beautiful, too.

Hope you have a sunny week.

  7. Pretty amazing landscape Liz! I was looking back at my snow pics from 3 weeks ago just yesterday. It is beautiful, but definitely a pain to live in. Spring will be here soon and all of that snow will melt and your beautiful garden will come alive.

  8. It makes sense to stay home, if one can, when the road conditions are hazardous. From the perspective of these photos, all is white beauty, Liz. Not only do you have the loveliness of light and shadow, but you've caught the sparkling crystals on the snow.

Enjoy your day. Thank you for adding a little sparkle to Sunlit Sunday.

  16. I wish I could say something like, "Yes, but it just looks so pretty!", but honestly...I am just sick to death of this winter cold and snow!!! I know it's God's work and all that, but geez....enough already!!! :-) I'm so glad you're still able to find that silver - or golden crystalline - lining in it all!

  18. Liz,
It's blowing SNOW here on the Prairie and a Robin is perched on the privacy fence looking towards the west as if to say, "Alrighty...I'm here to stay." It can't be too much longer until our daily walks at the Park. Until then, I, like you, am staying put!!!
Here's to warmer days with the promise of Spring in the week ahead, dear friend!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  20. Gorgeous pictures... I was just admiring the sculptures in the snow that the wind was blowing this afternoon... especially when it was glittering under the sunlight... Although I wasn't admiring the wind or the cold breeze.
