Ring Around the Posies!

Time for breakfast!
The hens have circled themselves in a ring around the posies!
Someone raided the hen house and all the eggs are gone!
There's a lot of clucking going on!

Franco the Rooster says it's o.k. he can fix this problem!  Wink wink!

The posies are white alstromeria

I brought out the burlap wrapped vase that I made up last year (I did a post on it and you can see that "here".
I see Pottery Barn has a version this year and I saw that Debbie @ Confessions of a Plate Addict did a tutorial on how to make a version just like PB's.  You can see her post "here".  I started out to get tulips but they didn't have them where I went.  These turned out real nice so I'm happy with them.

I think she's winking at you!
Some mixed fruit can be served in these.

I used the woven wicker chargers and the bamboo flatware to keep it casual and organic.  I staged the napkins in the corner so the cute rooster design would show.  The white RL dish below created a little more design interest.

The napkins are secured with these chicken shaped napkin rings made of wire.
I used a medley of checkered patterns.

Ready for brunch

Winter is still with us.
Time for some fresh hot brewed coffee!

I'm joining

  6. Those bowls are fabulous, Liz!! Love all the gingham. Wonderful table.

  7. This is very cute and warm, Liz. I love it, very country!...Christine

  8. Oh, the black and white dishes with the red checked cloth look wonderful! And the red mugs were the perfect choice for this table.

  9. Love the cute little rooster bowls and I happen to really love black, white and red together. It really makes a striking table. The checkered tablecloth is perfect with these elements. What time is Brunch?

  10. Oh, Liz! What a cute, CUTE table! I love the hens and the roosters and the red, black, and white color scheme. I am wild for checks. Love tour centerpiece vase you made, too. Smiling about the rooster fixing that problem. LOL

  11. What a fabulous vase! I definitely want to make one. They have such fun printed burlaps these days.
The hens are just adorable as they gather around the vase. Every little touch of your table is perfect.

  12. You've created a charming table setting! Looks like you hung a new picture up in place of the galvanized wall basket too. It's very pretty.

  13. What an adorable, warm and inviting setting. The roos dishes are to die for and the chicken bowls...too cute! Love the base with the flowers, it's awesome dear Liz-

  14. I'm having a problema with my computer in the thing that when I type the right spelling, it goes to another spelling, such as the base, instead I typed vase ! I look dislexic all the time, I don't get it!

  15. Love your table and I too am such a fan of chickens, in fact you have inspired me to add more to my own decorating. I am also smitten with the black and white checkered napkins-very, very nice!

  16. There will be a rattling around in your yard and against your back door around 11:30 p.m. or so. Just ignore it. It's only me breaking in to steal everything on this table!!! :-)

Dang, Liz!!! You're just battin' 1000, girl!!! I am a black, white & red girl (OK...that just sounds weird!) from way back, and this totally gets my attention!!! LOVE it! I especially love the checkered cloth. It gives the whole table such a friendly look. It really does!!! And the napkins lend such a terrific touch with just that teensy kiss of red. Beautiful!!!

I am STILL kicking myself for not grabbing those plates when I saw them on clearance at Sears a couple of years back!!!

    This is fantastic!

  17. Love the napkins, table cover, the roosters...heck, I love all of this...so cute!

  18. Great rooster plates Liz, love the check around the edges and then repeating the check in your tablecloth. I have never seen the plates before so a pleasant surprise.

  19. Hi Liz, I simply love your roosters plates. I have black and white in my kitchen too and those same napkins. What a darling table you set. The pop of red is perfect. So French country and gorgeous.
    Have a nice weekend.

  20. Liz, this mixture of checks, along with the roosters make me smile. I have a few of those plates in red, and couple in blue. Those napkin rings are so cute, and I love the polka dot hen bowls. Such an inviting tablescape. laurie

  21. Oh, I agree with everything everyone has said! I LOVE the mixture of checks with those great dishes, and where did you find those darling napkin rings? This table sings "Welcome"! Bravo!! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
