Walking on Sunshine!

Wow what a week we've had of snow, snow snow, snow snow!  The good thing is we also had some bright sun filled days and it just makes you feel so good!  The ski resorts around here are in heaven because of it!  The snowmobilers are buzzing about and all the restaurants and bars are busy as can be!  It's a good thing for our community!
I'll just post a few pics of my yard as it sits in it's winter state....

 ~~~~
 Juncos...they hop in and out of this tree along with the other birds...of course when the camera came out most off them disappeared!
~~~~

 The bird feeders are in constant use...heavily laden with snow but the birds keep coming.
If you can see in the left side of the picture a big ash tree has been marked with a green band. It and some others are going to be taken down because they've got that
It has swept through Michigan and many other States as well as in  Canada.
We've been treating our big Ash tree by the driveway in hopes to save it from this problem.

Some snow cascaded down as I was taking pictures...

Viewing from my office...
 Blue skies and sun...love it!

Come on by and join us for some sun and brighten your day!

  1. Liz,
    As always, I enjoyed your photos. Just seeing them makes me shiver though. :0) Today our temps are supposed to get to mid 70's. I'm so looking forward to the Spring. Just yesterday I noticed that our Bradford Pear trees have buds on them, so I know we're getting a little closer to the time of year that I enjoy the most. Have a great weekend!

  3. Wow...this is really pretty. It looks the way snow is SUPPOSED to look: white, clean, pristine. I love that song, too. It's a good one for cleaning up the house!

  5. Beautiful photos and what a lovely place to live. We have not had much snow yet but it is on it's way. We are in mid Ky. and it has been all around us. We feed the birds too and there have been plenty to see. Have a great week.

  9. The trees look gorgeous under all that snow. But that poor arbor looks like it is carrying such a heavy burden! Hope it is strong enough to survive all that weight of the snow!

  11. You certainly have a lot of snow, more than we do in my part of Ontario. The sun makes everything sparkle.

  12. I love Walking on Sunshine! And you really do have a blanket of snow. This morning here in FL...we have fog! But at least it's not cold! Happy Sunday!

  13. Liz I LOVE your new header and look. Linda did an incredible job!! I am SO impressed with her and her work. She's doing mine for me now and I am beyond excited!!

    Your photos of the snow are gorgeous! They look like they ought to be on a Christmas Card. And I do love the glisten and sun on it. So beautiful. Nann

  14. We're walking on sunshine today and it sure does lift the spirits. You have more snow than us in southern Ontario; usually we have lots but I'm not complaining.
    The EAB along with the asian long horned beetle are indeed wreaking havoc on our trees too. Hope you can save the one by your driveway.

  18. Liz, first of all, good luck with saving your ash!

    I love your snowy photos and the junco; they visit my yard as well and I know what you mean about them disappearing when the camera comes out to get a photo.

    I'm happy to see you at Sunlit Sunday again this week.

  20. Beautiful photographs! I just love snow pictures. We had some ice and a little bit of snow this past weekend, but it's all gone now. It wasn't anywhere near as pretty as yours. I'm visiting from Sunlit Sundays. Pop by if you get a chance. Have a lovely week!

  23. Beautiful pictures. We have had lots of snow here too and I have been out to take pictures, just need to edit them and get them on my blog. Your bird houses look like mine, laden with snow. Although I have heard the birds I haven't seen them near the bird feeders.
