It’s Halloween!

\
For Halloween I added two terra cotta luminaries to the “Deckorating”.  We found them at a local garden center this summer.
Halloween night will be a cold one- likely in the lower 30’s with rain/snow.  Poor kids- but we’re used to it up here.  More than once our kids wore a snowsuit under their costumes!  We actually got a little bit of snow today- more like ice pellets.   It stuck to the deck area but it’s melting as soon as it hits the ground.
We don’t get any trick-or-treaters at our house but if we did I’d be ready!  I always buy some candy during the season- who can resist those little candy bars!
We’ll be relaxing in our warm home and probably watch some old movies like Dracula and Frankenstein!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

  1. I figured it would be cold this year at Halloween, but not THIS cold! You have ice pellets, we have record cold highs...it’s crazy! I’m guessing we’ll only get a small handful of trick-or-treaters, so Ramon will polish of the candy. I deliberately bought Snickers which I don’t particularly like so that I won’t eat leftovers. Now I’m rethinking that move! Have a warm, safe, and happy Halloween! 🎃👻

  2. Happy Halloween, Liz! Your snow looks pretty on your lovely Autumn decor. The snow adds magic to your pretty scene. Our daughter lives in New England and we hear and have witnessed snow on Halloween. We don't get many ghosts and goblins either, but we always have candy!

Sorry you do not get any trick or treaters :( Since we are new to this neighborhood not sure how many I will get. I am prepared with lots of candy bars!!!! Happy Halloween.

  4. We don't get any trick or treaters either. Our houses are far apart. We buy candy and end up eating it...LOL. Wow, already ice pellets, goodness, it is getting cold there. Happy Halloween.

  5. We used to get over 100 kids...but now the numbers are dwindling....lots of Halloween parties now vs. actual door to door trick or treating....

  8. I like your Halloween luminaries. Your deck looks so festive.
Our door bell rang twice with a total of five trick or treaters! We were so disappointed. I bought way too much candy and I don't need the temptation to eat the left over candy. I have got to give it away.

  9. How lovely! It was pretty chilly here too. No trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood except the grandkids, and that was fine with me. But I have to get rid of this candy!!
