Cozy Country Style Autumn Dining (T)

I adore the rich warm tones of autumn.  I'm fortunate to live in an area where these colors are reflected outdoors and it encourages me to do the same indoors.

I love to create some country cozy feelings with warm tones and plaid fabric.  I used my little tin vase again and filled it with beautiful golden florals.

I added some white pumpkins that could be taken home by guests.  If you remove the top and clean it out you could also use them for tea lights or a small mix of flowers.

I layered a dark blue placemat under the woven one to show off the pattern and I thought it was a nice color mix with the rustic orange and green cabbage plate.

Tea lights add to the warm glow.  The crackle wine glasses came from Pier 1 a few years ago.

Cold or gently warmed cider can be enjoyed in the wine glasses.

A hearty pot roast followed by pumpkin pie will be served!

Morning or evening I love to see the glow from the sun.

I will be joining:

  2. First...hooray that you are seeing and feeling autumn there! I know it means a long, cold winter is just around the bend, but still...enjoy this gorgeousness while you can!!! This whole tablescape looks like the glow of a candle! It just exudes warmth! I really like the way you layered the placemats to add texture without obscuring the color of the bottom mat. When I was at Nell Hill's recently I saw the use of the cabbage plate for autumn AND winter table decorating A LOT!!! You are right on trend, girl!!!

  9. Your table gives me that warm, cozy feeling. I think it's from the soft amber glow from your candles and the way they reflect off the crackle wine glasses. I like the way you layered your placemats. This table exudes autumn!!

  12. Beautiful table, Liz. So warm and inviting. I especially like the airy feel of the woven placements; they're unusual and look especially well atop the darker plain placemat. The plaid napkins pull it all together really well.
