Happy Birthday and St. Patrick's Day! (T)

I decided to combine a little birthday celebrating with St. Patrick's Day!
My sister Sherry turned 70 on Tuesday and St. Patrick's Day is Friday so I figured I'd combine the two events!

Mixing the Ralph Lauren dinner plates, soup bowls with the green cabbage plate turned out to be a nice combo.  The wavy edge of the dinner plate mimics the edges of the cabbage plates.

I used the Napoleon flatware and some napkins I purchased on Etsy a while back.

I love these clear stemware glasses by Fitz & Floyd (called Trestle) mixed with the shamrock china pieces.

I like these galvanized chargers I got at Michael's a couple of years ago.  They offer a relaxed look and combine nicely with most dishes.

I layered my shamrock lace cloth over a lime green tablecloth.

I scattered shamrocks and gold coins.  The sun was in and out so I did my best to capture some pictures with it!

Can't have birthday celebration without sweets!  I chose cupcakes and cookies so there won't be too many leftovers!

My little leprechauns had to get in the picture too!  They'll have a drink to just about anything!

 More shamrocks for good luck!

There are four of us sisters and I'm the baby.  My birthday is soon to follow and it's a big one too!

Happy Birthday Sis and Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone!

  1. Oh, yes...you DO have a birthday coming in just a few days! Even MORE cause for celebration! I sometimes forget that you're the baby of the family because you have "oldest sister wisdom." It's nice that you are celebrating your "big sis's" birthday in such enviable (get it?....cause it's green?) style! Was it a pain growing up, though? Did you have to have dual parties? I had to with my brother, and it KILLED me!!! 😀

    Beautiful table, Madame!

    1. Hi Liz, sorry I haven't been around. Beautiful table and I am a cupcake girl. Your table was beautiful and I hope your sister had a wonderful time

  2. Hi Liz, Happy Birthday to your sister and what a grand idea to combine her day with a St. Patrick's Day tablescape. It is gorgeous!! I love all your lovely green dishes and that table cloth is so pretty. It sounds like it is a big month for your family with b'days!! Gives you lots of reason to celebrate. Enjoy and have fun.
Thanks for the inspiration too. xo

  3. Liz, happy birthday to your sister and to you! I do hope your sister is able to celebrate at the special table you set for her. The shamrock tea cups are so pretty as well as the lovely lace tablecloth. May the luck of the Irish be with you! ♥

  6. Happy Birthday to your sister! I love green and white, it's so fresh and energetic and your St. Paddy's tablescape, with all its popular motifs is so pretty. Love the green and white napkins and your dainty leaf lined china. I know your sister must have appreciated your sweet gesture.

    Happy St. Paddy's, Liz!

  7. Liz, this table is so pretty and perfect for both a Saint Patrick's Day celebration and a special birthday party. Those sweet treats look so yummy! I know that your sister is going to love everything!

  8. The delicate print on those napkins has me swooning! Love all the fluted edges on your plate stack. You're right. The galvanized chargers will look good with anything and everything. Good choice, Dearie! Happy birthday to you and Sherry. Happy St. Pat's Day tomorrow, too! :-)

  9. Happy early Birthday to you and your sister! I love the green peeking through the lace of your shamrock tablecloth. Such pretty shamrock teacups too. ☘️

  10. Just a beautiful table. I love your tea or coffee cups, so dainty and beautiful. Happy St. Patricks Day.

  11. I hope you and your sister have fun celebrating both your birthdays! Your table is gorgeous, I love the lace tablecloth with the shamrocks. It makes a beautiful base for your stemware and coffee cups. It all looks like the perfect way to spend some time with a special sister. Enjoy!!!

  12. Right down to the shamrock cookies, you've got it right for St. Patrick's day and birthdays. What a happy time is waiting around the table.

  14. You set such a beautiful table, Liz! I'm sure your sister loved the celebration combination for it's all so pretty. I'll take one of those cute frosted cookies, please. :-) Happy St. Patrick's Day to you! xo

  15. Happy St. Patrick's Day! You table is darling. Those cups are so cute. The shamrock cookies really bring the green to the table. The tablecloth is perfect. A wonderful way to celebrate a birthday and St. Patricks day.
