Valentine's Inspired Tablescape (T)

My amaryllis are lovely right now and made for some good cut flowers so I decided to use them for my Valentine's Inspired Tablescape!

I sure have enjoyed these for the past couple of months!

I gathered some of my Valentine's deco and had some fun with it!

This little piggy is all dolled up for Valentine's Day, and is sitting on a pair of gold hearts with an arrow through it.  I scattered some red glass pieces for fun!

Isn't she cute! Aren't those some crazy eyelashes!

I had these heart plates from Pier 1 from several years ago.  I used a black outlined dinner plate to frame the heart dishes.  The white chargers, crackle wine glasses were from Pier 1 and so were the heart napkins.

I used a gold napkin ring to go with the gold hearts.

I double layered the heart napkins with a black & white check and repeated the black with the flatware and dinner plate.

I chose this red and white rooster talecloth that I got from the April Cornell website a couple of years ago.

I had a terrible time with these photos.  It's a very overcast day, snowing and I just couldn't get
enough light, so I altered all of my pics to be brighter.

Cheers to Valentine's Day!

A Bit of Gold, A Bit of Red, and Poinsettias! (T)

Welcome!  Continuing in "red"  I put together this tablescape with a refined yet casual look.
Ugh the lighting was terrible and this was a noon!

A bouquet from Costco that I just cut down and re-arranged.  It was a nice cheerful mix of red, green and white.  I waited for the lilies to start opening but by then the hydrangeas were going down hill, so I cut them back and placed them lower down.

The Merry Christmas placemats came from Home Goods by 34th & Pine, last year.  The red plates are by Lenox and the poinsettias plates (and pitcher) are by 222 Fifth, called Winter Harmony

I used the Christmas tree napkin rings from Pier 1 also from last year.  I don't know about anyone else but I'm really not happy with their website and their offerings anymore.  Nothing is "Pier 1" any longer.

The candy cane Christmas trees were from Home Goods I think (UPDATE-actually they were from Michael’s) last year too.  I borrowed them from my kitchen window vignette!

These pewter birds were added just for fun and they pick up the coloring of the trivet I used for the florals.

I got the tablecloth from Crate & Barrel a few years back.

The gold rimmed glasses pick up the the gold rimmed dinner plates and the silver picks up on the birds and trivet!  You can mix your metals!

Time to gather!

Harvest Dining (T)

At this time of year corn, apples, pumpkins, peaches and more are all harvested and the spell of autumn has begun to wrap around us.  Jackets and cozy throws come out as the days and nights are cooling.  Comfort food and warm drinks become the norm.

I wanted something organic for the centerpiece and I had some extra Indian Corn so that was my beginning point.  I hunted around the house looking for something I could stand them up in and finally landed on this metal candle holder.  There is a glass insert that I removed to create more space.  I nestled a flameless tea light candle in the bottom to create a warm glow resembling a small campfire.

I added some of my Purple Fountain grass which helped soften the look.

I just kept layering!  I placed the napkins in the mugs to add color and dance around the centerpiece!

The pumpkin plates came from T.J. Maxx (Olfaire of Portugal) 2 or 3 years ago.  The harvest wheat plates came from Pottery Barn a couple of years ago.  The deep orange chargers came from Hobby Lobby- last year I believe.

The napkins I've used before are from Pier 1 (this year) and the mugs are from Park Designs.  My idea for this dining experience is to have hot chocolate or mulled cider.  The stemware can be for wine or water.  A salad will be served on the pumpkin plates and a some baked chicken, thinly sliced potatoes seasoned and baked (with a little olive oil), and a warm dinner roll.
(Notice the turkey feather in the centerpiece?  I found that under some leaves the other day!)

It's very overcast today since we've been getting rain.  Using the automatic setting on the camera resulted in very dark pictures.

I used the manual setting to brighten up the images but it slows down the shutter speed so much you need a tripod to hold it steady.  In the end it all worked out!
I hope you enjoyed my Harvest Dining tablescape!

Daffodils & Bunnies Garden Easter Brunch (T)

Let's imagine we're out in the garden dining with the bunnies!

These little bunnies are having a great time munching on carrots!

I used an ice bucket to set the daffodils in.  For some reason they exploded in height when the flowers started to open up but then they were very floppy. (The ice bucket is new from Walmart- it has a white liner that I temporarily removed and a cute top too- nicely made) We'll pretend the ice scoop is a dirt scoop!

I made a chicken wire wrap to help support the flowers and I think it adds a nice touch for the garden look tablescape!
This year Walmart has a cute galvanized metal collection by Better Homes and Gardens that have some of the same design ideas as Pottery Barn (for a lot less).  They even have a beverage dispenser with a pedestal like PB and a multi-tier tray which I've wanted for a while.  (Not compensated just sharing info)

I slipped one of the scatter carrots under his paws to make it look like he's munching on one!  I chose the wicker placemat for a ground color.

Since the bucket is galvanized I chose to use the galvanized chargers again.  I like the rustic feel they add and the pretty dishes seem even prettier played off of them. The napkins came from Williams Sonoma and the white flatware was from Horchow.  I found the napkin rings on clearance at Pier 1 during the winter months.

These are perfect for my garden theme (there are four different patterns).  I found these a while back but have had trouble finding more.  I once saw them in chocolate brown and white- real cute!
Bunny Toile by Elisabeth Trostli for Andrea by Sadek

I wanted some color to pop underneath the green/white dishes.  This is a favorite pattern of mine by Spode called Delamere Bouquet.  I followed some sales through Horchow to collect mine.  I recently noticed that Pottery Barn is selling galvanized chargers this year in case you want some.  Mine came from Michael's 2 years ago.

I got these cute egg shaped dessert dishes at Pier 1 several years ago (2014?) I used them on my formal dining table as seen "here"

I will plant these outside once they're done blooming!  Did you know daffodils are deer/bunny resistent!

The green tablecloth is by Zina Vasi.  I found it on a markdown about 6 years ago at a local store that has unique tablecloths, napkins and placemat collection.

It has a garden theme with daffodils so it's perfect for spring!

Wishing you a Blessed and Happy Easter.

Hopping Into Spring Dining (T)

A basket full of bunnies and flowers!

These bunnies hopped right into my garden basket tray and are thrilled to have something this tasty to munch on!

I wandered about at Kohl's the other day and spotted this seagrass handled tray.  They're half off so if you want one I'd get it now before they're gone.  I nestled some green vine, lily of the valley and pansies in it to make a garden like setting.

A while back I ordered this from Pottery Barn.  It's a 50" square topper and it works great with my little 42" dining table.  This washed up really nicely - came out of the laundry like this!

I decided to use my chunky grape vine dishes with the galvanized metal chargers.  The silver napkin rings pick up on the silverware and the colors from the napkins pick up on everything on the table.

I chose these Fitz and Floyd (Trellis pattern) glasses again because of the chunky design and liked how it pairs well with the chunky white grapevine dishes.  All three white, green and pink dishes are by Bordallo Pinheiro.

The bunnies are by Fitz and Floyd.  Part of the "Poppies" group they had out a long time ago.

Thank you for joining my Hopping Into Spring Dining table!
