Sunflower Happiness Cont'd!

On Friday I did a post about Summer's Sunshine- Sunflowers as seen "here"

I think sunflowers are the perfect transition from summer to fall.  I'm not ready to let go of summer just yet so I'm transitioning my look with sunflowers.  I had a variety of artificial sunflowers in my stock pile and I even had some white ones too!  I know the real ones are best but they don't last very long and it would be expensive to keep fresh ones around for the next month or so!

I felt that the white would help keep it summery so I made sure I added enough pops of it.

I swapped out the blue vase for the white milk cow topped bottle.

I carefully split up my lavender into these three tin containers.  Pier 1 sells this as a utensil holder but I saw it differently!

There are hand painted sunflower stemware wine glasses here too but they're hard to see.

The white ruffle edge bowl was from Hobby Lobby.  I've been looking for one but they were always too expensive.  This one was very reasonable especially at 50% off and a nice size for our petite table.

Looking back from my kitchen sink...I like it!
Now I have to re-do the front door basket!

  1. Everything look so pretty, Liz! Love all of your white pieces. My little neighbor came over yesterday afternoon and brought me two cut sunflowers from her garden! I was just thrilled. These flowers just make you feel so happy.
    Be a sweetie,

  3. I do so much admire your plate rack filled with sunny bright sunflower plates and enough white to keep the display as bright as a summer morning. You are so spot on right Liz, sunflowers are perfect for transitioning to Fall! I am in no mood yet to see pumpkins yet much less witches on broomsticks! Give me a vase of sunflowers and black eyed Susan's in August. I do hope you can stop by to visit my blog in the next day or so and leave a comment, I am celebrating my second blog anniversary with a fall table linens give-away and the winner will be announced Thursday on my August 20th tablescape post.

  6. Your sunflowers are a perfect transition for August, Liz! I am not quite ready for Fall yet either. I don't think Summer is my favorite season, but I hate to give up the ease of Summer {dressing, cooking, life}. I have started to think ahead for how I might decorate for Fall this year, but I haven't put anything into action yet! : )

  9. Liz, I just got out my faux Sunflowers too. I love the way you used that utensil holder. So clever. All of those white pieces pop beautifully against your black shelf. The white compote on the table was such a great find. I love HL sales.
