Hello everyone! I've decided to post these beautiful pictures of my "internet" friend Betty's front porch, who lives in Carlsbad, New Mexico. We met (as well as a bunch of others) through Rate My Space on HGTV's web site.
A bunch of us moved over to Facebook and became friends.
Betty and I (as well as Linda, my Blog Angel) have shared countless e-mails, pictures of our homes, projects we are working on and just general conversations about our lives. None of us have ever met in person, but we've shared so much between us we feel as though we really know each other. I am grateful for these new friends and thought I would take a moment to share a bit of Betty's holiday glamour, since she doesn't do any blogging (as of yet)!
A few weeks ago I sent her a picture (copied from Frontage) and said "I want to see this on your front porch"! I knew she had a large covered porch as well as a pair of urns that she could decorate. (Inspiration photo at bottom)
She loved it so much she went right at it! I was so tickled when I saw what a great job she did that I just had to share it!
I love the placement of the lanterns too!
I love how full the garland is as well as the wreath! The mass of lights are wonderful and casts such a wonderful glow!
Betty lives near the Pecos River in Carlsbad and every year they have a holiday event called Christmas on the Pecos that people can take tours along the river. Everyone decks out their homes and yards for the event...how pretty to see sights like this!
The urns turned out fantastic and set up the whole entryway!
These urns have a boxwood shrub already planted in them so she added the greenery around them and the red spikes to the top!
I think she did a great job of interpreting the picture and applying it to her setting, don't you?
This is the inspiration photo from Frontgate
Have a great day and please leave your comments so I can share them with Betty!!
