Just in time for the Christmas!

Holiday decorating for this Christmas 2024

A broad view of the living room.  Charley our siamese cat is resting in his favorite spot.

The Santa picture is new.  I got it from Kirkland's and then had it framed.

I used the some trees I have and added garlands.

The bells are from Kirklands a couple of years back and the two white amaryllis planters came from Home Goods.

I pretty much decorate the tree the same way each year.

I brought out my sleigh and placed my sitting MacKenzie Childs Santa in it.  The lantern is from Pier 1 a while back.

I got the sleigh from Boscov's quite a few years back.

This Santa is called the Candy Cottage Santa

The MacKenzie Childs Deer Head Head candelabra from a few years ago but they do still sell it. Mackenzie Childs (MC) Tartastic square tablecloth no longer available.

I was taken back by this large white gingerbread house at Home Goods and had to have it!  I combined it with several of my MC decorations.

Up close

We felt the inside was lacking so we added some little Christmas trees glued in place.  Dan cut out the bottom where the batteries go and used a firm wire to place the trees with glue.  Then re-seated the battery compartment.

It took longer to do it than we imagined but the results are good!

MC White Farmhouse Special Delivery truck.

I wish they had created some lighting affect with it.

This MC santa is also a wind up music box, one of my favorite pieces and the car is a MC
Granny Kitsch special delivery Santa in car.

I decorate this 2nd tree with blue and white chinoiserie ornaments and we lit up the back wall of the chest of drawers to add some glow!

The dining table got a new runner with a Chinoiserie  design on it and I found these blue glass trees on-line which helped tie this together with the blue tree.

The runner was from Society 6

The pillow I ordered from Redbubble

Aren't they pretty!  I got them from Touch Of Class (best price I found)

In the kitchen dining area on my credenza decorated with a gingerbread theme once again.  I used a new tree this year that has lights. and added a tree skirt.  You can see last year "here"

Down below I added some more gingerbread items!

Last but never forgotten is my Manger scene.

Wishing you all

Welcoming Easter at the Dining Table 2024

Welcoming Easter at the Dining Table

The new Easter bunnies I used last year are once again in use.  Love the texture!

I used a large wire tray that I got from Pottery Barn years ago.  I also brought in some of my blue and white pieces.

The tablecloth I also used last year and was from Williams Sonoma

Found this at Home Goods this year and it has two sides so I'll be able to use it again!

The wire tray is wrapped on the outside with a 5 ft. long egg garland that I got from Amazon.

Carrots and eggs placed on the grass along with this bunny topped cabbage bowl cutsied it up a bit!

Forsythia in the vase, so springlike!

The blue and white bowl I got at Home Goods and was loaded with all these white flowers.  This is a keeper for sure!

I've been enjoying this for a while now and looking forward to spring!
Thanks for stopping by!

Never Say I'm Satisfied!

Recently I posted and showed my living room and this is how the mantel looked.  I said I left the mantel the same because I was satisfied with it.  Well....

I got a bun on to make a change.  I played with different ginger jars and finally came up with this.

I finally decided on this ginger jar and also brought in the plate to add more blue.   I wanted my color theme to be more prominent.

This ginger jar is a lot smaller than the other,  but I brought over the smaller jar I had on the right side.  I think they make a nice pairing.

This plate is part of my mom's collection and it dawned on me that I had the gold plate holder being used somewhere else so I grabbed it.  The gold picks up on the picture frame.
I love shopping my house!

I'm pleased with the variance of texture, shapes and colors.  What do you think!
(I will move the ginger jar a bit to the left.)

We are getting hit hard, today's high was 15º and it's been snowing too.  We've been having it fairly easy so I guess Old Man Winter finally decided it was our time!
Now what else can I find to swap out somewhere else!

A Little Springtime Decorating

I moved a few things around on the credenza. I put my pink hydrangeas in a cute little square bucket and staged it in the tray.

I got the bucket as part of a set of 3 several years back.  This is the smaller one.

To the left of the door is my entryway chest.  I keep these blue and white porcelain pieces on here regulary but I switch up the flowers depending on the season.

I got super excited about how realistic these faux roses are (Michael's) and the filler I got a (Hobby Lobb).  I'm pleased with this each time I look at it.  It just seems so real!

A view of the two areas.

Hope you are finding things to do during this viral lockdown period!
