Herd of Sheep and Tulip Update!

I saw this at a store but didn't buy it although I kept thinking about it.  I found it on Amazon for less money and I got free shipping so I felt better about purchasing it. (Made by Creative Co-Op) It does have a hole with a plug in case you want to plant real flowers.  I chose to go artificial.

I found these succulents at my favorite store up in Petoskey (Monarch Garden & Floral Design)
I looked through my saved artificial plants/flowers and found something to add as filler.

I like it from behind the best- on the front side I didn't want to crowd out the faces of the lambs.

Update on the planter...
Some of the tulips are blooming!  These are the Salmon Pearl tulips

The grape hyacinths (Blue Magic) are much paler than the deeper blue in the picture that I saved from my order- but no complaints!  They have become a little tall- again more natural UV rays would help.

I'm enjoying seeing the new developments each day.  I'm thankful the bulbs survived the winter in the planter while stored in the garage.  We had some pretty bitter days in January.

There are still more plants erupting from the soil so the blooming will continue for a while!   There are some soft purple with white tulips, white narcissus and yellow narcissus yet to come!

  4. Isn't it awesome that you thought to look on Amazon for that adorable sheep container! It is truly lovely, especially with the faux succulents! I was looking at a watch while on a cruise and thought it too expensive to buy and hubby found it much, much cheaper on Amazon after we got back! Really amazing! And watching all the lovely new blooms must be your favorite daily ritual! Now that's so exciting, Liz!!!!

  5. Liz, if you don't already know, I love sheep! So this little planter is right up my alley. I may have to order one! Your planter of bulbs is looking so lovely with the tulips and hyacinths blooming. I just picked a big bouquet of daffodils that were laying on the ground after our recent snow. Have a nice weekend. ♥
