Sunny Easter Thoughts

I do believe this is our last party at Sunlit Sunday- I think we all hate to see it end don't we?
I want to thank our host Karen for these parties!

We've had a real mixed bag of weather this week.  I had a birthday on Tuesday and the sun was shining like crazy which I appreciated.  We went for a drive up to Petoskey and visited some little shops that I like and had a nice dinner at a restaurant.  The next day it was bitter and snowing which was repeated a couple of times more through the week.  Last night it went down to 4 degrees!  Enough!!

I found the bunny and eggs at one of those stores back in February when we had also visited Petoskey.
I combined them on this tiered cake stand for a centerpiece.

As you can see in the aerial view my Christmas Cactus is blooming up a storm….and some remnants of snow outside.

This plant starts out with pink buds and they end up almost coral in color when the flowers open up.

Here is the plant when I got it in November 2011.  I didn't realize how much it had grown!

I'm glad to share a little bit of my sunshine and happiness with you all and I look forward to seeing you again next year!
I'll be out in the gardens as soon as weather permits! I hope you'll visit me through the summer too!

Wishing you all a pleasant Easter and remember the real reason we celebrate it.

  12. I can't believe Easter is with us already and I really do need to start preparing this week. Too much going on at work as it is Holy Week so my home preparation goes to the wayside. I do love the Easter Cacti, we have one at work and it looks as though it will be a little late this year. x
