Last Minute Tweaking in the Kitchen

Last Thursday while I was prepping the house before our daughter came home for the 4th I decided to change the little bar top area that I had put my lemon lamp on several months ago.  I posted about it "here"

I moved my white pitcher with the lemon branches that I had put in the window and posted about "here".

I put the lemon lamp over on the burlap covered table in the corner entry area and moved my big vase to the dining table.  The 'ole domino affect.

I love the the lemons for a kitchen accent.  I found a napkin in my drawer with a lemon print on it that I worked in as an accent under the urn.

The three little pigs made their way into the vignette too!
They were a gift from my daughter for Mother's Day.  She spotted them and liked their tuscan coloring and knew they'd fit in and she was right!

I kept the small iron urn with the faux pears in it.

A small change but a free and fresh new look which is a good thing!

  1. You are so talented tweaking around your home with your amazing items (I love those pigs!).
A small tweak that changes the ambiance so well. Your home is very welcoming; just by going through the pics one can feel the warmth and appeal of your things.
    Well done, Liz!

Nice you can do some decorating before your DD arrives. When ours comes I have to clear out the furniture!

Thanks again for stopping by. Best, Jane

  9. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I'm pretty sure you and I were separated at birth!!! I'm going to email you pictures of the similarities, and you're going to faint where you stand! It's uncanny!!! We share parts of the same brain!!!!!!!

I like the change of venue for the lemon branches. It really helps to fill the "empty space" there. It's fun that you added the little piggies, too!!!

Little changes = big fun and big relief to hubbies when we don't spend any money making those changes! :-)

  16. Liz, I want that giant urn that is on your dining table. It is the perfect centerpiece for a dining table that is not in use. It's gorgeous. The lemon branches a great look in the white pitcher, and your 3 little pigs are so much fun. laurie
