Good Sunday Morning!

Good Sunday Morning!
I'm so pleased the sun is out and it's
another beautiful day!
To my dismay it's still winter but
I do enjoy the blue skies and sun!

I added more plants to my terrarium.
 I found some more potted
silk plants from Pottery Barn.
I was delighted to see the
flowers of tulips, daffodils and
hydrangeas! They made me happy!

I've been thinking of naming my Angel so
I did a little internet searching.  I googled
"Angels of Gardens" and came up with
Cathetel- Angel of the Garden

I know it's not a real garden, but I like
to pretend it is and I love her
 sweet face.
Perhaps I could call her "Cathe"
for short

The sun is impatient and
minutes later it is quickly moving away.

I can hardly wait for spring so I can get
out and breathe fresh air daily and
watch the gifts of the earth unfurl!
I leave you with this poetry....
God's Garden
THE Lord God planted a garden
In the first white days of the world,
And He set there an angel warden
In a garment of light enfurled.
So near to the peace of Heaven,
That the hawk might nest with the wren,
For there in the cool of the even
God walked with the first of men.
And I dream that these garden-closes
With their shade and their sun-flecked sod
And their lilies and bowers of roses,
Were laid by the hand of God.
The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,--
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth.
For He broke it for us in a garden
Under the olive-trees
Where the angel of strength was the warden
And the soul of the world found ease.

  4. Hi, I too am anxious for Spring even though we've hardly had a Winter. We woke up to snow this morning, but we've had very little this year. Sunshine just makes me happy. I love the name for your sweet angel. I had to smile when you said you like to pretend. I do that so often with my decorating. I have the same terrarium (mine is enclosed with glass) yours looks like it might be open. Anyway, I love it! Going to the market tomorrow to pick up a few Spring blooms. Visiting from Seasonal Sunday. Now a new follower.
    Hugs,
    Jann

  7. Hi Liz
Thanks for visiting my blog. I have never seen the whole poem of God's Garden and it is beautiful, thanks for sharing it.
Sweet terrarium, very Victorian looking, perhaps a Wardian case.

  8. Hello, Lizabeth
Although I have heard a few lines from the poem, I had never read all of it until this evening. I do like the line about "the song of the birds for mirth". I also like the play of light on your terrarium. Thank you so much for linking to "Sunlit Sunday" this week!

  9. Love your terrarium! The angels face IS so sweet too. I like the name! Did you make your pork loin yet? We do ours with a sauce that we made up/ The Delmonte jars of fruit, they used to carry apricots. I can't find them though, went to 4 stores, so got peaches. We mash themn up and add seedlees raspberry preserves. It is DELICIOUS on the pork. XO, Pinky
