Fall Views From My Backyard

It only lasts a little while but I'm enjoying every minute!  We had our first hard frost last night so things will be changing rapidly.
I have to admit I'm anxious for 2020 to be over with. I'm already excited about Christmas in part because I want to see this year come to an end and then I'll be that much closer to next spring!

I sit at the kitchen table watching this every morning.  The sun illuminates the trees so beautifully!  Loving the contrast of the green shrubs with the color.

A little frost damage...

There's a lot of maples around us so we get a good variety of color!

 Loving these colors!

I added a little more to this setting including a new lantern (Kirklands)
I found the candle holder at Hobby Lobby and put a pumpkin on top.  I made the bow using a Bowdabra bow maker which was very handy!

All ready for Halloween!

  1. Liz, I love the sunlight shining on your trees in your back garden. Such nice color. Your frost didn't do too much damage. Even though we have yet to have a frost, I cleaned out a few pots of coleus and basil that are not happy this time of year. I think we'll all be glad to say goodbye to 2020. Enjoy your lovely view!

  4. Oh Liz, it's glorious! You live in a golden shell and it is beautiful. I love the yellows at this time of year. We're beginning to get color downstate too, but I don't think it can ever beat that of the north.

  6. Liz, It is so beautiful in your backyard. I love the view out your window while you have coffee. I do not blame you for taking in every moment of this autumn scene. I am not ready to let our fall beauty go either. I am actually dreading winter...but like you I will be counting the days till spring. Blessings to you and yours, stay safe. xoxo, Susie

  11. Hi Liz! Been much too long since I have written. Been a crappy year and been fighting it all, if that makes sense.

I just wanted to say that your first pick of your backyard view made me gasp. It is incredible. I cannot even imagine seeing it in person. Wow.

All your fall touches are awesome.

    Please stay safe and healthy.

Big hugs from an old bloggin' friend. ♥
