Garden In The White

Right now plants in white seem to be showcasing themselves!

This Campanula White Clips (Bellflower) I split it in half and put the other half to the left of the rock.  Next year I'll have double the pleasure!

I lost the tag for this one but I think it's some kind of Cranesbill/Perennial Geranium

This is Astilbe Younique White.  It'll get a little whiter as it ages.  I like that it's shorter and dense.

Hawaiian Punch Elephant Ears plant with a bedding of plants.

I planted little white begonias which have been surrounded quite heavily by the Creeping Jenny Goldilocks.  They are a lighter green than the usual Creeping Jenny.

My Annabelle hydrangea.  This year the blooms are smaller, maybe because I transplanted it over a few feet from where it was last fall?

I did try the method of not cutting this back in the fall.  I waited until early spring and gave it a trim down to where new buds were forming.  I read that by doing this the plant will be more supported by stronger branches and hold themselves up better.  It seems like these are much more upright than in the past but I don't know if the smaler blooms are due to that transplant I did or because of this method of pruning.

This is it from another year.  Kind of fluffier and the flowers are larger.

So I'm in the white now!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you'll leave a comment!

  2. Liz, You certainly are a good gardener. I love how the white flowers are standing out in your garden. So many pretty plants too. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  3. White is so lovely in your garden, Liz. I think white really lights up a garden. At Sissinghurst Castle Garden in England, there is a whole room devoted to white. It's quite impressive.

  4. Liz, your white blooms are so pretty! My white hydrangeas have been showing off, too, and the limelights are just starting. Don’t you find the white blooms make your garden glow at night? Love it!! Zenda

  5. Liz,
all of your lovely white blooms are charming and I love that they are the back drop for your fairy garden!! We have been having terribly hot temps. and humidity and I fear it is taking a toll on my garden even though I am trying to keep it watered. We are supposed o get some much needed rain today...Your gardens are always so charming!!

  6. I really love white blooms -- they are so clean and fresh. Especially with all the green foliage. This is truly beautiful, Liz. What a peaceful garden spot.

  7. Liz, I love white flowers with the bright green foliage, it has a cooling ambiance. Your plants look so lush, happy, and healthy! I love seeing your posts in the FB garden group!

  8. I am glad you are posting pics from your garden. The white flowers are so showy but I love those elephant ears and the other plants in the container too. Your hydrangea blooms are beautiful.
