Glowing Fall With Glass (T)

I have finally decided to dive in with some fall decorating since it's arriving very soon!

On a hunt to incorporate my little vignette from a couple of days ago into a fall tablescape I found these forgotten chargers.  They have a metal colored leaf that I wanted to use to go with the pumpkin and cylinder with cotton bolls.  While nosing around I found my amber glass dishes and the clear fleur de lis glass salad plates.

This is the fun part about tablescaping- taking elements you have and mixing them to ether in ways you didn't anticipate or think of at first.

These clear plates have a heavy texture on the bottom side of a feeder almost burlap design to them.

Parts of my vignette from Tuesday this week as seen "here"

For some reason I was drawn to these simple tin looking items this year.  Though I am quite fond of the usual fall colors I am going to incorporate a little blue this year!

We always have a lot of birds around!

The napkins came from Pier 1 this year.

I like how the texture seemed similar in these glasses (Fitz and Floyd Trestle stemware) to the glass salad plates.  Another thing I had never imagined or planned for.

I've had this Ralph Lauren paisley tablecloth for a good while.  I am pleased it worked out well for this fall tablescape.

I am very appreciative that the sun found it's way through the hazy morning skies and provided the glow for my tablescape!

It's still very green outdoors but we are seeing some trees turning.  As much as I love it I hate to see it come because it never lasts long enough and then the "w" word arrives!

I hope you enjoyed my Glowing Fall With Glass tablescape!

  1. It looks great, Liz!!! I long for Fall too!

  2. Lovely table Liz! I really love the galvanized container with the cotton stems inside. So pretty!

  3. i do love your tablescape, and the table cloth is wonderful! (I'm having paisley drool here.) I said I wasn't going to buy pumpkins yet, but while at WalMart this morning, they have all colors of Cinderella pumpkins (large ones) for six bucks apiece. I couldn't resist, of course. The wonderful thing about your metal pumpkin is that it will be with your forever. And, metal goes with so many other things! A wise investment, for sure. I'm glad to know you've had some sunshine! :-)

  4. Liz, you've done it again! Such a welcoming mix of patterns and textures, particularly the chargers(how could they have been forgotten?!)and the clear plates. Always love fleur-de-lis patterns(and paisley anything).

  5. Gorgeous as always Liz.
    Happy Thursday.

  6. This table just EXUDES warmth!!! The amber tones remind me of a warm fire...just what a cool fall night calls for!

  7. LOVELY. Love those chargers and your mixture of tectures.

  8. I love this table with all the rustic elements. Those galvanized pieces work so well with the cotton and those pretty chargers. I think I'm ready for Fall, too. Unfortunately, the weather forecast for this weekend in the STL area is HOT! Ugh!

  9. Those chargers with the amber glass plus the napkins are all very lovely.

  10. All of the dishes on your table are so unusual. Very pretty together.

  11. Such a beautiful fall tablescape! I love everything about it. It absolutely does "glow" . Those chargers are exquisite and you've highlighted them so well with your choices of stacked plates and linens. Thank you for sharing a table of textures, patterns and warmth. Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

  12. Your Fall tablescape is gorgeous and so elegant dear friend.
I love everything about it too, from the dishes, table topper, lovely chargers... and every element.
    Happy Fall.

  13. Beautiful tablescape, such fall elegance! I love it.

  14. Liz, I love the RL tablecloth...it is perfect for all the elements on your table. I love how you mixed and arrived at what was unexpected. That is what makes tablescaping fun! I fees the warmth of autumn at your table!

  15. The warm glows of the table make you want to sit and visit for a long while. With a beautiful and cozy table such as this one I feel maybe a warm apple crisp is waiting to be served.!

  16. Wow! Those chargers are beautiful! Love how you caught the amber plates just glowing off the charger. I have the same tablecloth and use it quite often, I like how you used striped napkins with the paisley table cloth.
