Romance and Whimsical Valentine's Day Dining

I'll start right out with the whimsical!
This queen of hearts is the head of the table for this year's Valentines Day!

Check out those crazy stockings and shoes!

I created a ring of white roses laid around her feet on this metal cutwork cake stand for some romantic touches.

These glittery red and purple heart champagne flutes add more to the whimsy!  The checkered napkins mimic the stockings on the Queen of Hearts!

Some whimsical Love and XOXO coffee mugs for those who prefer something else to drink!  I filled the ramekins with chocolates instead of baking little cakes with them.

A pop of more red with these cute polka dot salad plates. Their lacy edge mimics the lacy look on the white dinner plates (totally unplanned).

The heart shaped placemats are both whimsical and romantic! The black flatware reflected the lines of the placemats so they were an easy choice.

The tablecloths were chosen to add romance to the table.

A few more hearts are hanging around on the chandelier but I barely got a shot of them with the table.

I'd like to believe Love Is All Around Us!
Gods Love, Puppy Love, Children's Love, Couple's Love, etc...

Unlike the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland this Queen of Hearts is all sweetness!  She's all about the party!

  20. Liz, your table is perfect for celebrating love! I see we had the same muse for Valentine inspiration. Isn't the Queen of Hearts adorable? The minute I saw her in the Pier 1 add, I was on pins and needles until the next morning when I could drive out to the store. I was so happy to see that they still had her. She makes such a statement! We also had the same thought on hanging a bit of love from the chandy. I don't often do that, but Valentine's Day seems appropriate. Hope your day was filled with treats from your sweetheart.
