Cake with a sentimental purpose....

My daughter shared some pictures of a
cake she prepared for a friend.

Her friend's mother passed away of
cancer about 2 years ago and this was
in remembrance of her on what would
have been her birthday.

Of course I was so proud of her for doing
this, but I was also amazed with her creation!

The cake is vanilla flavored with a
little cinnamon added.

She's self taught and motivated by her
love for baking and trying new ideas out!

My version of making a cake is quickly
spreading some frosting on- and if it's
for a birthday adding some candles!

Let's just say I spent a lot of money on
custom cakes for my kid's birthdays
when they were growing up!

Is it Me
Or have I deceived myself
I thought I heard you call my name
Out in the pouring rain

I really thought
I thought I saw your face
But after a second look
I saw me the clearest day

Mother I miss you
In night's I just wish
You were here with me
So we can laugh and talk again

Mother I miss you
but I'll just kiss you
And send it on the wind
Cause you know
I plan to see you again
So much I wanted to show you
So much I wanted to give
I thought our time would be much longer
Listen my best friend...
Life is precious...enjoy those you love
as much as you can!

  3. The cake looks beautiful. I love the way it is decorated, very chic. Bet it taste good too. Cake baking is becoming a lost art, every one goes to the bakery or deli. Richard from My old Historic House.
