Artichoke Tablecloth Finds a Home

A little while back I used my artichoke accented tablecloth on the dining table as seen "here" but it didn't suit me and then I used it for a tablescape as seen "here" but of course that was temporary.

While creating the the "Lilac Inspired" tablescape where I used this tablecloth I was glancing at the corner burlap covered table and had the thought to try it there!

I don't know if cloth covered tablecloths are in vogue any longer but I'm sticking with it because this little table also harbors storage underneath it and isn't meant to be shown without a cover.

I like the casual summery feel this tablecloth offers and I'm pleased with the look for now.  The coloring fits in well and I'm glad I finally found a spot for it!
I thought about spray painting the bird cage cloche to an off white color but then it wouldn't work as well with other things I put here.  What I need are a couple of lighter color deco balls instead of the burgundy ones inside the cloche.  Hmm... I have more in storage that I'm not using- perhaps it's time to paint them for this vignette!

I've kept the table the way I showed it "here" with the artichokes and deco balls loaded inside this birdcage cloche.  This lighter summery look inspired me to try a few new accents.

This is made with an embossed metal and highlighted to look chippy and old.  I found a free picture on the internet of these lavender fields and printed it on some photo paper.

Well now that's done..... time for more fiddling around!

  2. Thanks for your post. I've always wondered what to do with my round table in a "square" world. Mine seems to look odd no matter where I put it but you've made yours looks really nice! I love it! :)

  7. Dear Liz, I feel like you and I were soul mates in another life, I love this tablecloth so much, I am actually a little jealous of it, the way you displayed those artichokes on the cloche is genius. I love visiting your blog for inspiration.

  10. Hi Liz, Love it and it looks so pretty as an topper over the burlap. I still use a cloth covered storage table in my bedroom between two chairs. It just works and is a cozy look. Your cloche with the artichokes is a fabulous touch. Have a great week. Hugs, CM
