4th of July Parading!

Once again I've created a parade for the 4th of July!

I started with the red and white checked vase ahd the blue vase for my baseline of deco items.  Daisies and flags soon followed and I rummaged through my patriotic deco and laid it out from there.

A lot of these are some pieces I collected from Pier 1 back when they had stores.

Lady Liberty is one of my favorites!

This was a piece from my sister Donna's who has passed.  She had a lot of red, white and blue and nautical in her collection.

This runner was also from Pier 1.  I've always  thought it was extra cute!

Added some blue hydrangeas to the big vase I got from Ethan Allen years ago when our store was closing.

Some new MacKenzie Childs pieces and a couple of Bethany Lowe Americana pieces that I've had for a few years!

Thanks for stopping by!

Wishing you a great Holiday!

Land Of The Free

LAND OF THE FREE
and
The Home Of The Brave!

I've created this vignette for the 4th of July celebrations with the same items I've used for several years but in a new display area and layout.

Freedom and Liberty

Uncle Sam was a find several years ago so he makes his apperance each year.

A faux red geranium and some wicker balls were added.

The two boy and girl statues are Bethany Lowe figurines and a couple of patriotic birds!

I loaded the base with these red white and blue filler pieces just to make it look more complete.

Freedom, Liberty and behind is a red one that says Happiness

What is that myserious rolling pin?

I found this old rolling pin in my mother's things when we were cleaning out the house last fall.  The ribbon is in pretty sad shape but I thought I'd leave it as is.

After studying flags I've decided this loosely represents the Norwegian Flag and Coat of Arms.  I'm imagining mom picked it up at a craft show since it has little hooks put into it and the ribbon was added so you could hang it.  It has nothing to do with our 4th of July celeration but I thought it was quaint and fit in to the vignette.

Patriotic Dining Parade!

Welcoming July 4th, Our Independence Day celebration with my annual "parade" on the dining table.

For several years now I've been creating a little parade on the dining table.  Each year it's a bit different.  The addition of the new placemats really wowed it up!  Below are links for previous years.
"2017" "2016"

Early evening the sun shines in low enough to highlight things at the dining table.

Love how the sunlight enhanced the sparklers to look even more real!

In the kitchen I added a new tray I bought in Pennsylvania.  I decorated it with the Uncle Sam on the bicycle I used for the tablescape "here" and added some more festive decorations!

Wave Your Flag On The 4th! (T)

Come wave your flag as we celebrate this joyous holiday of our country's independence!

I saw this Uncle Sam on the bicycle over at Debbee's Buzz blog.  She used him with a really cute wreath she made "here".  I was delighted to find out our Michael's still had them!

Stars and Stripes mason jars by Ball this year are a wonderful low cost way to bring in something patriotic to your dining.  I found mine at Walmart.

The red and white check dishes are from Pier 1.  The placemats are from Crate & Barrel.

The patriotic birds have been with me a while (Michael's?)

The trio of sparklers have been with me a few years.  I added the red ribbon to tie them together but I know I saw something similar at either Michael's or Pier 1.

Couldn't resist these cute patriotic bicycle napkin rings from Pier 1 this year.

The flatware is from Crate & Barrel.  The blue dishes are called Devon Cottage by Johnson Brothers.

God Bless America
