Fall On The Mantel

I'm pretty fond of mixing the fall colors with the blue and white porcealin.  I removed one of the porcealin pieces and added the lantern.  Then I added a small vase.

I added branches of leaves, pumpkins and berries.

Added the pumpkins here since I didn't on the mantel.

I've had this planter which was made for me up in Petosky at Monarch Garden & Floral Design which I posted about in April of 2018
First it was in a white planter which got broken because of a certain cat!  Then I found the brown one and just transplanted the whole arrangement into it.

I like the faux branches, they're neat and less messy.

I hope you enjoyed my Fall On The Mantel!

  1. Ah! Certain cats can do that to a planter! Or anything! I'll have to check Petoskey Monarch etc. place out next summer -- it sounds great. Your mantel is beautiful, Liz. I love the lanterns and that painting you have over it is really spectacular. It feels fallish without hitting one on the head with it! Our slightly gloomy day today... well, we've lucky all week.

  3. Your mantel looks fabulous with the blue and white porcelain. Of course the painting is a beautiful piece. The planter is lovely with fall florals. A beautiful look to welcome in autumn,

  4. Your mantle looks beautiful, Liz. I like blue and white with fall colors, too. I had a huge porcelain collection at one time but it is long gone. I gave it to my kids (who never use it)...lol.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Liz. It is cold here-heavy freeze tonight they say. UGH! xo Diana

  5. Hmmmmm....I wonder what "certain cat" that was who destroyed your planter?🤔 Our pets are precious, but they can certainly be destructive! (Our dog just sheds a lot ALL OVER THE PLACE which is so inconvenient!!!) At least you were able to salvage and create something beautiful for your 2022 fall mantel that you can enjoy for a few weeks. It just seems like Christmas is coming at us so fast!😲
