In the Forest With Santa

I had the theme of a Department Store Window in mind.

As a child I loved seeing the storefront windows during the holidays and was lucky enough to have been taken to the city to see some at the large department store displays like the one below.
While I was creating my vignette I had those kinds of memories in mind.

The idea got started when I found this cute red slatted park bench and that was the candy cane that stirred the pot!  I already had the sitting santa and I was tickled that the bench was the right size for him.

Speaking of a pot...I found the mercury glass cachepot at the Pottery Barn outlet...love that place!  I was looking for sometihng to set the Christmas tree in and this worked out perfect!

The red and white ribbon with bells was a new find at T.J. Maxx this year.

The sitting Santa has been with me for a good while, in fact he came from Bombay before they closed their U.S. stores which I think was 2006?

Last year my daughter gifted me with this Pottery Barn reindeer tree topper.  He's really heavy so I decided to remove the piece that mounts it onto the tree and change him into a statue instead.

The little gold lanterns were from Pier 1 last year

I added in bottle brush trees, pine cones and old fashioned light bulbs

A gift from hubby last year.
I pinned it to my candle instead of putting it on a tree.
