Ready For Halloween

Welcome to my Halloween village...
We're Ready For Halloween!
These guys are here to greet you!

The kid in me still likes to do something for Halloween even though my kids are all grown up!

 A haunted house (by Lenox)!

I've had these guys with the ultra skinny legs and arms for years and always enjoy bringing them out!

A spooky tree complete with scarecrows, a pumpkin and a color changing spooky face!

This couple are enjoying a sit down by the lamp post!

Several of these figurines are by Bethany Lowe which I adore.

I picked up a black tree from Hallmark and some of their ornaments as well as some from Michael's.

Spooky, haunted and cute!

This is Ella who is presiding over the village!

BOO!

Beware- Zombie Zone!

I've added a some more touches for Halloween!  The dying plants add just the right touch don't you agree!

I found these ceramic bag shaped luminaries at TJMaxx a bit ago.  I put them in the garage and nearly forgot about them!

They'll look great lit up at night.

Look who flew in!

I need to take a picture with this lit up at night.  I'll try to do it tonight and add it to this post.

I caught a bug and feel like I'm a zombie!

 Beware!

C R E E P Y Gathering

I've done a little more Halloween decorating.

I don't have kids at home but there is still a kid in me so I always do something for Halloween.
Welcome to my C r e e p y Gathering

Chains, Mummies, Ravens, Skulls

Gravestones, leaves and moss...

He's lost his head!

The mummy and black skeleton are new from T.J. Maxx this year the rest was already in my stockpile....

 Said the Raven...nevermore!

I sprinkled moss around to age it a bit and tie things together

I think he could hold a candle  too but I stacked little pumpkins on his tray instead.  I need something to dangle from the eges...

You have to love these creepy faces that change as you move from side to side....

The metal "cage" is for a candle but I decided the skull was more fun!

Hope I didn't C R E E P you out too much!

Festive Halloween Basket

I picked up this pumpkin basket at Michael's a while back thinking I'd use it outside but then I decided I'd keep it indoors so it wouldn't get weathered.

It seemed like I was seeing these crazy witch's legs everywhere this year except most of them were already used with a wreath or some kind of arrangement.  I believe I found these at Hobby Lobby and though I wanted stripes I settled for polka dots!

I stopped in at Michael's to get a foam piece to hold the legs.  I picked up this cake form because it's very tall and it fit right in there like it was made for it.

Sorry about the terrible picture but anyway I found a wreath (all Halloween is 50% off at Michael's) and decided I'd attach it to the top of the basket.

I used a wire to tie onto the side handles of the basket to secure the wreath.
Then I poked the crazy legs in.  I had to adjust them a couple of times afterwards.

I put some of that shredded grass filler down inside to cover up the white foam.  I like keeping that stuff on hand for various things- even stuffing a gift bag.
I am just beginning to think about Halloween.  I usually only put out some halloween stuff for a week, but I decided I needed to work on this to be sure I had everything I needed.  As it turned out it was quite simple and that's a good thing!

For those who prefer no orange.

Did you notice the mouth looks like a bat?

It's become quite a bit cooler here and I'm glad we've taken care of the outside prepping and now are ready for winter- a reality here in northern Michigan.
