I walked about the yard this past weekend and took random pictures of things still blooming. I kept thinking about how we are at the end of summer yet there is still plenty of life in the plants.

One of my hibiscus (Rose Mallow-Luna Blush) finally bloomed! I found it peeking up behind the shrub where I planted it last year...of course I expected it to be much taller...

perhaps next year?? The other one I planted looks like it's going to bloom but so far it's still holding out.

Not exactly flourishing but I'm new to growing these so I really don't know what to expect.

Still a few peeps of color here and there....

This magnolia has been re-blooming for a few weeks...

I've seen it bloom a 2nd time before but we had a lot more flowers and it's lasted a long time...crazy year!

Our Ash tree dropped a few leaves early....they magically land in my flower bed!

Peek-a-boo

It's more enjoyable to have fires in the fire pit now that it's cooling off.

This plant was identified to me by Mindy as being Kenilworth Ivy...I googled it and she's right! Interesting too it says it's native to Northern Italy! Who would have known! I love this turtle now that he's getting a nice patina! My husband likes to bleach off the green from the stones, but I stopped him a few years ago and now it's aging nicely!

Coleus always provides color!

The weeping Japanese Maple is starting to change it's colors...

These will look the same until the first frost...then things will rapidly change.

I recently stained these concrete pedestals. Truthfully they didn't come out the color I wanted but I'm going to leave them be. They look more like stone now which is better than the white concrete look they had.
