I wanted to use my large basket as a centerpiece for dining. In September I blogged about the basket "here"
I came across this tablecloth while out on
a recent trip that I blogged about "here"
The moment I saw it I knew it would be
great with the fall basket
The cloth is by April Cornell and it's called "In Full Bloom"
Orange, Rust, Pale Gold on Smoke is how it's described on the web site.
There is some teal mixed in (have you noticed how much teal is out there in everything from clothing to furniture this year?
I chose these pale blue fleur de lis accented salad plates to play off of the rust dinner plates. Keeping the tone of the table casual and farm like was my goal.
I mixed these blue goblets with the Napoleonic Bee Wine Glasses for color and theme
I played up the angles a bit
The plain rust napkin became a focal point. The creamy white flatware was chosen to play off the bowl which also has the fleur de lis symbol in the center.
This is only a 52 x 52 tablecloth but I chose the size to be an accent on the table rather than a size that would cover the whole table.
I lit the candles. The farm wire candle votives
were from Pottery Barn a few years back. I first
used these in 2011 in a post "here"
Glass candle votive from Pier 1

I had some "ocean" scented teal votives I

Breakfast or Dinner
I never thought I'd get away with adding some blue but it seems to be ok! Lucky that Ms. April Cornell was smart enough to also include some olives and yellows in her design which works real well for me!
