Pumpkins & Gourds in a Pumpkin!

This is my first dive into fall decorating!

I found this metal pumpkin at Michael's and immediately had this idea to place a group of flowers and pumpkins in it.  It's designed to hold a candle votive but I had Dan drill up through the bottom of the candle votive holder so I could place my flowers inside of it.

I bought two of these but there was only room for one in the hole we created.  Then I cut the other one into individual pieces and poked them in.

I bought this cake/serving tray at Hobby Lobby.  I like the farmhouse look it brings in.

So this is my first dive into fall decorating, it's transitional since I still have the sunflowers displayed!

  1. Oh LIz, the metal looks great. I love using metals with fall but this galvanized look is somewhat new to me and really works with the orange.

  4. What a cute idea! That was smart to have hubby drill that. A really great Fall piece. I haven't done the first thing yet---this week---I have promised myself I will. xo Diana

  5. Love your start to decorating for Fall, Liz. Galvanized pieces are so simple, but add a great texture and nice contrast for your pretty pumpkins. I took my summer wreath off the front door and replaced it with a fall one. We also hung the Autumn flag. So far, that's it! The last few cooler days gets me in the mood.
