Holiday Decorating Inspirations

I get inspired from photos like these for my holiday decorating.
My main focus is on mantels and trees.
A nursery that I shop at offers classes on decorationg, how to make bows,
create arrangements etc.
Most of these photos are from their displays but a few are from Pottery Barn and
Nel Hill's, a local store and some I can't remember where they came from.

I hope you enjoy and maybe you will get some inspiration from these!

I like to expand on the ideas, visualize my colors, and adapt items I may already have but perhaps will help me achieve a look I like from a photo.

Happy Imagining!

  1. Liz,
Lots of beautiful photos. Don't know which are my favorites, love the red and white Christmas tree and also the one with the wicker bells.
It's almost time for me to bring out the holiday decor. We always start Christmas decorating the day after Thanksgiving. Will be a busy week for me next week.
    Have a fabulous weekend!

  4. Gorgeous!!! All of them! I need to stop being so shy about loading up my mantel. I had an "accident" one year when I went heavy on it, and I haven't loaded it up ever since. Twice bitten, once shy, y'know! I need to just pull out the ol' hammer and nails and go for it!!! It sits up so high that no one ever looks at the top surface, anyway, to see nail holes. Maybe I can just put some permanent screws in it to hold garlands so I don't have to keep hacking at it every year. Gotta get brave....gotta get brave...gotta get brave! ;-) The 1st, 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th, 15th, 16, 17th, 18th, 21st and 25th photos are my favorites. Can't wait to see all you do around your house this year!!!

My dining room is kinda crowded, tually. Not really big at all, but we will make it work:) I thought my table and hutch looked ALOT lighghter in this house and I guess it is cause it gets so much more LIGHT!!!!!!!!! Wishing you and your family a blessed and fun Thanksgiving. XO, Pinky

  10. Oh my...those first 20 pictures look like they were taken from a nursery here in Rochester Hills, MI. They have the most lovely displays of trees and mantels. I recognize some decorations I purchased at the store in one of the pictures. Do you display your mantle like these? They are so beautiful. I asked the saleslady if the swag could be bought and she replied "sure, for about $600 dollars." Its a lot of money for me but I so appreciate the beauty and time spent on making them. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

  11. SO very eye appealing, each one is quite the masterpiece.
I would welcome them all in my home. Now just where to put them.
The Plum/Lavender first photo, would be my favorite color.
Thank You for all your efforts to photograph them and post.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
