Japanese Maple's are pretty, but they take a super long time to grow and are so expensive. We have one in our backyard that has taken 10 years to grow into a nice 8 -10 ft wide and about 7 ft tall. This year the harsh winter really took a toll on it. Now it is about 1 foot tall and I just don't think it's ever going to be any thing. My husband wants to keep it. I think i'll put it in a container. LOL.
