Autumn on the Front Door

It's been just over a month since I decorated the door basket for my transitional look for late summer as seen "here"

Looks kind of cute sitting on the chair too!   I play with it while it's leaned against the chair to create the new look.  I added a pre-made burlap bow I found at Michael's

Remember I have to keep it simple because it gets sandwiched between the storm door and there's only a few inches to work with.

Pomegranates, pears, berries and ferns

I tucked some of the fern fronds down into the bow to help keep them secured as the door shuts.

That's pretty much it for me for fall decorating except out on the deck I've been playing with pumpkins!  Still haven't finished it yet so that will be coming.

  3. Hi Liz, love how your door looks with the basket filled with gorgeous fall elements. The basket is the perfect solution between doors like that. As you know, I love the door color too.
Looking forward to your fall deck.
    Have a great week. cm

  4. I love this, Liz! Your door looks wonderful and I really like the basket! It fits on your glass so well. Love your arrangement too! Hope all is well.

  5. Liz, your door color just pops with your fall basket! I really love the colors you put together. I am bad about not doing the front door. We live far back from the lane and the trees block the view so the only ones that will see it are the squirrels and birds. They love to pick apart my wreaths too. If I sit in the living room during the day I can hear them taking it apart!

  6. Hi, Liz: LOVE your front door decoration! So welcoming! Could you please tell me how you attached it to your door? I have a similar door (glass inset) and have only used a wreath hanger that goes over the door. I'd rather have a look like you do. Thanks! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

  10. LOL, do we ever really 'finish' anything? I'm constantly tweaking as I walk around the house and yard. I take pictures and get ready to post and then see something I want to change. Love your pocket for the door. Thanks, Sandi

  11. It is perfect, Liz! I'm keeping my eye out for one of those baskets.....I would love to do something different from the traditional wreath.

  12. Liz,
Love the added Fall items to your flat basket!!!
I saw some newly designed flat baskets while vacationing!!!
Although quite tempted, I resisted as our car was already filled to the brim!!!
Thank you for sharing and always inspiring!!!
    Fondly,
    Pat
