Thanksgiving for two!

It's going to be a quiet Thanksgiving for two of us so I've
accepted the idea and pulled this together for our table.
I wanted it a bit rustic and for it to embrace the colors of the season.

As you can see I've reused my Pottery Barn inspired centerpiece that
I made in September shown here,  and here.
I decided to try the soup tureen in the center (it barely fit).  I may just tuck my pumpkin pie inside of it just for fun! I mixed several pieces from different manufactuers and layered heavily!

I'll be joining
Cuisine Kathleen for
 and
Between Naps on the Porch

Dishes- Dillard's, Cracker Barrel, One King's Lane
Charger- Walmart
Brown glasses from T.J. Maxx
Flatware- Sophia- Neiman Marcus
Candle holders from One King's Lane (2011)
Pumpkin Tureen- Kohl's (2011)
Tablecloth- Ralph Lauren (2011) full sized for a table of 6-8 folded in half

The place plates look familiar for I enjoyed using them this week, too! The centerpiece is beautiful and I can also see pie being a pretty place to serve your dessert. Have a great Thanksgiving!

  6. What a gorgeous table, Liz. I love your stack of dishes, especially the wood charger. I am into acorns this year, I bought two large ones at a craft fair. I like the idea of pie as your centerpiece, I might have to start off dinner with a slice ;-) xo

  9. Oh, wow, Liz....it's so pretty! And kinda romantic, too! Especially that last photo. Hubba, hubba! ;-) I LOVE what you did with the soup tureen!!!!!! I was hoping you'd be able to reuse that cool corn piece this season! It's so slick and it makes it look as though it's lifting the tureen on its shoulders!!! I am duly impressed! I don't immediately recall having seen those coffee cups with the fleur de lis on them. LOVE those!!!!!!!! LOVE them! The shape and pattern of the saucer is cool, too. Great layering!!! Now all you need to do is throw the turkey in the oven, pop a bottle of bubbly, put on a little Barry White...and you're good to go! :-) :-) :-)

  25. You've devoted the same care for this table for two that most of would give for a table for twelve. I'm thinking that we're seeing a true love story in action. Beautiful design, and I love the elevated pumpkin tureen....of course, I just love tureens in general. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Happy
