Fall is here

I know everyone is talking about fall and so am I!
We're getting more and more color every day and it smells so good outside!
This a shot I took standing under a large Ash tree.
This week I added pumpkins, gourds
and scarecrows to the yard....

I got a kick out of this metal pumpkin with his
dangling teeth!
I planted some mums and love their
rust color!
Even these vines growing up the trees are a
pretty color!  This stand of woods is
on our south side bordering our property
I love the smell of the woods in autumn
The fountain area is winding down. We
had to turn off the fountain because
the leaves kept plugging it up.

To my surprise I am still getting
more roses!  I'm very happy with
this Queen Elizabeth rose- it's
been producing beautiful flowers all
summer!
My morning glories finally bloomed some
beautiful blue flowers!
We planted a Northwood Maple tree this week.
We have a side yard by the driveway that we
are creating a blind for our property.  There
was a fire department building built last year
that I am still pouting about.  Believe me I
appreciate what they do for us, but locating
it here was a real blow.  Now I live with
daily sirens going off with the Ambulance
and Fire Trucks.
I hope your enjoying fall and getting
ready for Halloween!
 I'm getting ready!

  7. Liz,
Okay, I see you have another blog too! I am following this one too and also added it to my blog roll!

Lovely garden! i have a tiny back yard as i live in a townhouse but tried to make my whole yard into one flower bed in a Cottage garden style this year. I can't wait until next year to see if everything comes up and what didn't take.

    Hugs,
    Debbie

  8. Hi Liz,

Your fall decorations and autumn colors are spectacular! Your property looks so quiet and peaceful. I wish we had woods behind us like you do.
